About PlumbTek
PlumbTek fixes water lines, drains, sewers, water heaters and gas lines for homes and businesses across the Twin Cities, from two offices and one phone number.
Minneapolis and Big LakeWe are a plumbing company. That means the person who picks up at (612) 254-6294 is lining up a PlumbTek plumber for your job, and the plumber who arrives is the one who diagnoses it, prices it and does the work. Most days that is drain and sewer work, water heaters, leaks and fixture repairs. In winter it is frozen and burst pipes; in spring it is sump pumps; after storms it is basement floor drains.
Our work covers 57 kinds of jobs, from a dripping faucet to a full sewer line replacement, lead service line work, backflow testing for businesses and gas line installation. You can see all of it on the plumbing services page.
The Minneapolis office at 731 Hennepin Avenue sits downtown in the Hennepin Theatre District, close to the city neighborhoods and inner suburbs where most of our calls come from. The main office at 19543 177th St Ste 650 in Big Lake handles the northwest side of the metro, where private wells, pressure tanks and hard water are part of daily life.

We find out why something failed before we fix it, with a camera, a pressure test or a meter when that is what it takes.
You hear what the job costs before any work starts, with options when there is more than one sensible repair.
Floor protection, drop cloths, patched access holes and a clean work area when we leave.
Every call is answered, day or night, every day of the year, including holidays.
Gas lines, water heaters and sewer work often need a permit and inspection. We pull what the job needs.
Clay laterals, galvanized pipe, deep frost and hard well water: we know what Twin Cities houses hide.
Esther Dahlberg is our how-to guides editor. She turns the questions homeowners ask on the phone into the how-to guides on this site, from keeping pipes from freezing to checking for a lead service line, and keeps them current as the seasons and city programs change.
